Philly Start-Up Leaders

I recently made a pitch for seed capital through MAC Alliance. And through that pitch, I was invited to join a group called Philly Start-Up Leaders. I went to my first meeting, not knowing what to expect - and I walked into a room full of men. That's a single gal's dream! But I was actually disappointed that there were no other women entrepreneurs represented in the group. And very amused that they (the men) would excuse themselves when they swore like sailors.

I know I'm not the only woman in town running her own IT based venture. I'm a member of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and have a binder full of women run businesses on my desk. Some of these ladies have to be tech savvy... So I'm calling on women entrepreneurs in Philadelphia. Get involved. Get in touch with me.

Philadelphia is a thriving IT community. Many successful companies have started here and are growing. By supporting each other, we can continue to add jobs, grow business, and build a strong community.
