Why Networking is Worthwhile...

In my last blog, I announced the launch of IntegriDate . This web site was built by Xercel and was released at the beginning of the week (12/18/2006). We have now (Xercel) begun the effort of marketing IntegriDate virally. What is viral marketing? That is the topic of my next blog.

I am a true believer in networking events. But you need to attend the correct ones. For the past few months, I've been attending networking events through CCPA (Center City Proprietor's Association) and one of the events was entitled "Meet the Business Press". At this event I was able to get the contact information for 5 news outlets in Philadelphia including Nydia Han with Channel 6 (ABC) News.

Depending on what you hope to achieve (meet sales contacts/decision makers, etc), google networking events in your city and check the local business newspaper or web site for their upcoming events. Its worth your time and at the very least, you may learn something new.
